FLIGHT SPOILER ACTUATOR QUADRANT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the flight spoiler actuator quadrants.
(2) An installation of the flight spoiler actuator quadrants.
(3) A functional test of the flight spoiler actuator quadrants.
B. In this procedure the flight spoiler actuator quadrant is referred to as the "quadrant".
C. This procedure is applicable to the left and right flight spoiler actuator quadrants.

(1) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: Spoiler Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization, TASK 27-61-00-800-801.

(3) Do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

(4) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.

(5) Do this task: Put the Spoiler Hydraulic systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the
Pressurization, TASK 27-61-00-840-801.

(6) Make sure the ailerons are in the neutral position.
D. Flight Spoiler Actuator Quadrant Removal
SUBTASK 27-61-61-020-001
(1) Disconnect the wing spoiler cables WSA [2] and WSB [4] from the applicable quadrant:
(a) Install the turnbuckle clamps to keep a small tension on the wing spoiler cables WSA [2]
and WSB [4].
(b) Loosen the turnbuckles [3] for the cables.
(c) Remove the guard pin [34], guard [35] and pin [36].
(d) Remove the nuts [28], washers [27], bolts [26] and retainers [29].
(e) Remove the wing spoiler cables WSA [2] and WSB [4] from the quadrant [37].
SUBTASK 27-61-61-020-002
(2) Remove the flight spoiler actuator quadrant [37]:
(a) Remove the pin [33], nut [32], washer [31], and bolt [30] to disconnect the quadrant [37] from
the actuator input arm [21].
(b) Remove the nut [25], washer [24], washer [23], and bolt [22] from the quadrant [37].
NOTE: Keep the bearings and bushing with the quadrant [37].
(c) Remove the quadrant [37] from the structure.
