SPOILER SHUTOFF VALVE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST
1. General
A. There is one task in this procedure which is the test of the spoiler shutoff valve.
B. The spoiler shutoff valve is part of the flight controls hydraulic module. The spoiler shutoff valve is
installed on the left side of the flight controls hydraulic module.
C. The flight controls hydraulic module for the hydraulic system A is installed in the left main wheel well.
The flight controls hydraulic module for the hydraulic system B is installed in the right main wheel
well.

C. Prepare for the Operational Test

(1) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.

(2) Make sure that this circuit breaker is closed:

(3) To pressurize hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Pressurization, TASK 29-11-00-860-801.
D. Spoiler Shutoff Valve Test
SUBTASK 27-61-12-720-001
(1) Do the test of the spoiler shutoff valve [1]:
(a) Move the two SPOILER switches, on the P5-3 Flights Control panel, to the OFF position and
then to the ON position (Figure 501).
(b) Make sure the manual override levers [2] of the two spoiler shutoff valves [1] are in position
1 (Figure 502).
(c) Move one of the two aileron control wheels to bleed the hydraulic system.

(d) Make sure there is no leakage of hydraulic fluid at the spoiler shutoff valves [1].
(e) Move the aileron control wheel to make sure the flight spoilers operate correctly.
(f) Set the two SPOILER switches to the OFF position.
(g) Make sure the manual override levers [2] of the two spoiler shutoff valves [1] are in position
2.
(h) Move the aileron control wheel to make sure that the flight spoilers do not operate.
E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

(1) Set the SPOILER switches to the ON position.

(2) To remove power from hydraulic systems A and B, do this task: Hydraulic System A or B
Power Removal, TASK 29-11-00-860-805.
