ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.
D. Spoiler Mixer Adjustment
SUBTASK 27-61-00-010-002
(1) Remove the roller access covers [71] to get access to the roller on the spoiler mixer [72].
(a) Remove bolts [73] and washers [74].

(2) Make sure the speedbrake lever is in the DOWN position.

(3) Turn the control wheel counter-clockwise 87 degrees from the neutral position.

(4) Look at the spoiler mixer [72] cam through the left roller access cover [71].
(a) Make sure the left cam is on the maximum rise part of the spoiler mixer [72].

(5) Turn the control wheel to the neutral position.

(6) Turn the control wheel clockwise 87 degrees from the neutral position.

(7) Look at the spoiler mixer [72] cam through the right roller access cover [71].
(a) Make sure the right cam is on the maximum rise part of the spoiler mixer [72].

(8) Turn the control wheel to the neutral position.

(9) If the cam followers are not on the maximum rise when you turn the control wheel, adjust the
SBA and SBB cables.
(a) Use the turnbuckles to make the cable SBB shorter by one-half turn and make the cable
SBA longer by one-half turn.
NOTE: The cable SBB is the lower cable on the speed brake quadrant on the ratio
changer. When you look forward, the speed brake quadrant will turn clockwise
when you tighten the cable SBB.
(b) To check the adjustment of cables SBA and SBB, do this task: Speed Brake Control Cable
Adjustment, TASK 27-62-00-820-802.
NOTE: After the adjustment it is not necessary for the rig pin S/B-2 to fit in the rig pin
hole.
(c) Make sure the cam followers are on the maximum rise when you turn the control wheel.

(10) Install washers [74] and bolts [73] to close the roller access covers [71] on the spoiler mixer [72].
