(1) Do this task: Supply Electrical Power, TASK 24-22-00-860-811.
SUBTASK 27-62-12-860-003
(2) Do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
SUBTASK 27-62-12-860-004
(3) Put the SPOILER A and B switches to the OFF position to remove the hydraulic power from the
flight spoilers.
NOTE: SPOILER A AND B switches are on the flight control panel (P5-3).

(4) Put the speed brake lever in the UP position to lift the ground spoilers.

(5) Install the set, SPL-1744 for the applicable ground spoiler.

(6) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-62-00-800-802.
E. Inboard Ground Spoiler Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-12-020-001
(1) Remove the pin [16], nut [17], washer [15], bushing [14], washer [13] and bolt [12] that attaches
the rod end of the outboard actuator [24] to the Inboard Ground Spoiler [1].

(2) Remove the pin [33], nut [32], nut [31], washer [34], bushing [35], washer [36] and bolt [37] that
attach the rod end of the inboard actuator [38] to the Inboard Ground Spoiler [1].

(3) Remove nut [11], washer [8], and washer [9], and disconnect the bonding jumper [10] from the
structure.

(4) Remove nut [47], washer [46], and washer [48] and disconnect the bonding jumper [45] from the
structure.

(5) Remove the Inboard Ground Spoiler [1]:
(a) Remove pin [5], nut [6], washer [7], bushing [4], washer [3] and bolt [2] to disconnect the
outboard hinge fitting.
(b) Remove pin [19], nut [18], washer [20], bushing [21], washer [22] and bolt [21] to disconnect
the center left hinge fitting.
(c) Remove pin [30], nut [29], washer [28], bushing [27], washer [26] and bolt [25] to disconnect
the center right hinge fitting.
(d) Remove pin [44], nut [43], washer [42], bushing [39], washer [40] and bolt [41] to disconnect
the inboard hinge fitting.
(e) Remove the Inboard Ground Spoiler [1] from the airplane.
