Use the holding tool for the torsion to safety the link until it is clear of the nose wheel tires.

Steering Actuators Test

(1)
Do a test of the steering actuators.
(a)
Make sure the tillers of the captain and the first officer are in the neutral position.
(b)
Make sure the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.
(c)
Push OTHER FUNCTIONS on page 2 of the MCDU main menu.
(d)
Push INPUT MONITORING.
(e)
Write in E/070/271/00 on the scratchpad.
(f)
Push the line select key 1L.
(g)
Push NEXT PAGE.
(h)
Write in E/070/273/00 on the scratchpad.
(i)
Push the line select key 1L.
(j)
Make sure the condition of these bits for label 273 is as follows:
