NOSE GEAR UP SENSOR - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
___________________________________________
 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains four tasks. These tasks are remove, install, test, and adjust the up sensors for the nose landing gear.
 B.  The primary and alternate up sensors are found in the pressure pan recess. The recess is in the aft bulkhead of the wheel well for the nose gear. The equipment number for the primary up sensor is S396, and for the alternate up sensor it is S411.
 C.  The sensor leads are connected to the terminal strip T389 which is in the J27 junction box. The junction box is found above the sensors on the aft bulkhead of the wheel well for the nose gear. When the nose gear is in the up position, the trunnion crank on the retraction actuator is the sensor's target.
 D.  A correctly installed sensor will give the correct clearance as shown in Fig. 201. The clearance adjustment is usually not necessary after the removal and installation of the sensor.
