Make sure that all persons are away from the landing gear and the landing gear doors.

Move the landing gear lever from the UP to the DN position.
NOTE: The nose gear down/lock bit will show a state of 0 when the
____ gear are in transit. Look at the CDU display for the nose gear down/lock bit while the gear is in transit.
(a) Look at the bit status for the nose gear down and locked sensors while the gear is in transit, as follows: 1) Make sure the CDU shows shows the bit status of label

If the airplane is lowered from the jacks, do this task: Put the Safety-Sensitive Systems Back to the Condition Before Air Mode Simulation (AMM 32-09-02/201).

NOSE GEAR SQUAT SENSOR - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains six tasks. These tasks remove, install, test and measure the squat sensors and squat sensor targets for the nose landing gear.
B. The nose landing gear has a primary and an alternate squat sensor. The sensors attach on the forward side of the outer cylinder of the shock strut for the nose landing gear. You can find the squat sensor target attached to the bracket assembly at the bottom of the upper torsion link.
