 NOTE: A correctly installed sensor will give the correct clearance as
____ shown in Fig. 201. The clearance adjustment is usually not necessary after you remove and install the sensor.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS AND THE STEERING LOCKOUT PIN ARE
_______ INSTALLED ON THE NOSE GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR OR TURN OF THE NOSE WHEEL CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  
Make sure the ground locks and steering lockout pin are installed on the nose gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Make sure the ground locks are installed on all the main landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Ground the airplane from the tow lug on the main gear and from the area of the rear cargo door that is not painted to one ground point (AMM 20-41-01/201).

Lift the airplane nose on jacks to permit gear retraction
 (AMM 07-11-02/201).

Supply power to the No. 1 hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Remove the operator rods from the door edge brackets on the doors of the forward nose gear.


 NOTE: Do not remove the rods from the bellcrank (AMM 32-22-03/401).

_______ LANDING GEAR BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE GEAR. MAKE SURE ALL EXTERNAL POWER CABLES ARE FREE FROM THE NOSE GEAR STRUT BEFORE THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTION. IF YOU DO NOT MAKE A CHECK OF THESE AREAS, THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (6)  Move the control handle for the landing gear to the UP position to retract the landing gear.
