 E. Preconditions

 (1)  
These conditions are necessary for this task:

 (a)  
Electrical power on (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (b)  
Integrated Display System (IDS) is serviceable (AMM 31-61-00/501).

Prepare the Airplane for the Test (Fig. 502)

 (1)  
Make sure that hydraulic systems 1 and 4 are not pressurized (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (2)  
Make sure the ground lockpins for the landing are installed
 (AMM 09-11-00/201).

 WARNING: USE THE PROCEDURE IN AMM 32-00-30/201 TO INSTALL THE DOOR
_______ LOCKS. THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  
Install the door locks for the nose, wing, and body landing gear (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 (a)  
Do not put ground release handles back to the doors closed position.

 (4)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 BRAKES.  THIS PROCEDURE CAN CAUSE THE SPEED BRAKES TO OPERATE.
 THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE SPEED BRAKES CAN CAUSE INJURIES
 TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO PREPARE
_______ THE SAFETY-SENSITIVE SYSTEMS FOR THE AIR MODE. FAILURE TO DO THE STEPS CORRECTLY CAN CAUSE THE AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF AIRPLANE SYSTEMS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (5)  Do this task: "Prepare Safety-Sensitive Systems for the Air Mode" (AMM 32-09-02/201).
 NOTE:____It is not necessary to do this task: "Put the air/ground relay system in the air mode".

Make sure the landing gear lever is in the DN position.

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

 (a)  
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel 1) 7F22 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT PRI 2) 7F23 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALTN 3) 7F25 PSEU SECT 1 4) 7F26 PSEU SECT 2

Prepare the CMC for the test:

 (a)  
Push the MENU key on the CDU.

 (b)  
Push the line-select key, adjacent to the CMC display.

 (c)  
Push the line-select key, adjacent to the OTHER FUNCTIONS display.

 (d)  
Push the line-select key, adjacent to the INPUT MONITORING display.

 (e)  
Push the CMC keys E/099/270/00, then push key 1L.

 (f)  
Push the NEXT PAGE key.

 (g)  
Push the CMC keys E/099/271/00.

 (h)  
Push the NEXT PAGE key.

 (i)  
Push the CMC keys E/099/272/00, then push key 1L.

 (j)  
Push the NEXT PAGE key.

 (k)  
Push the CMC keys E/099/273/00.

 (l)  
Push the PREVIOUS PAGE key as necessary to show the logic conditions of label 270/00.
