Put the FLT INT button on the ASP to the OFF position. 1) Make sure the FLT INT light goes out.

Put the hand held microphones back in the holder.

Put the ADF or the VHF system back to the usual condition.

CONTROL WHEEL PUSH-TO-TALK (PTT) SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1)
A removal of the PTT switch from a control wheel.
(2)
An installation of a PTT switch on a control wheel.
(3)
An adjustment of the bullet catch on the PTT switch for airplanes with a detent PTT switch.
(4)
A test of the operation of a PTT switch on the control wheel.
B. Each control wheel has a Push-To-Talk (PTT) switch installed. You can use this procedure for the two PTT switches on a control wheel.

2. Control Wheel Push-To-Talk (PTT) Switch Removal (Fig. 401)_______________________________________________
A. General
(1) This task removes the captain's or the first officer's PTT switch from the control wheel.

C. Procedure

(1) Open the circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag for the applicable switch position:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) C83, CAPT AUDIO
2) C86, F/O AUDIO

(2) Remove the push-to-talk (PTT) switch assembly from the control wheel:
(a)
Remove the two mounting screws from the control wheel.
(b)
Carefully remove the PTT switch assembly to get access to the wires.

(c) Disconnect the terminal lugs from the switch. 1) Make sure the disconnected wire ends do not touch. 2) Make sure the wires are clearly identified to prevent
incorrect connections when the new switch is installed.

Loosen the locking screw in the switch mount.
