VOICE RECORDER SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks.
(1)
One task is an operational test.
(2)
One task is a system test.
B. Use this procedure to make sure these components operate correctly:
(1)
Voice recorder control panel on the pilot's overhead panel, P5.
(2)
Voice recorder on the right side of the aft cargo compartment.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:

P18 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) C107, VOICE RCDR
(b)
P6 Circuit Breaker Panel
1) C239, CAPT INPH 2 PWR
2) C560, F/O INPH 2 PWR
3) C083, CAPT AUDIO
4) C085, OBS AUDIO
5) C086, F/O AUDIO

(3) Connect the headphone into the HEADSET jack on the control panel for the voice recorder (P5).

E. Operational Test.
S 715-005
(1) Do the Operational Test for the Voice Recorder:
NOTE: If the voice recorder is near the end of the tape, the
____ operational test can give an incorrect result.
(a) Push the Test switch on the control panel for the voice recorder (P5) for a minimum of five seconds. 1) Make sure that you hear a series of modulated sounds
through the headphone. 2) Make sure that the recorder control panel meter needle deflects into the green area.
F. Put the Airplane Back to the Usual Condition:

Remove the headphone from the control panel.
