 A.  AIRPLANES WITH A NA134-D2 DECODER; the dual SELCAL decoder unit is on shelf No. 2 of the E2 electronics equipment rack.
 B.  AIRPLANES WITH A N1401 DECODER; The dual SELCAL decoder unit is on shelf No. 3 of the E1 electronics equipment rack.

 (1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  
P18 Load Control Center - Left
 1) SELCAL-1

 (b)  
P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) SELCAL-2

 

 S 024-017
 (2)  Remove the SELCAL Decoder Unit:
 (a)  
Loosen the fastener.

 (b)  
Pull out the SELCAL decoder unit.

 C. Procedure

 (1)  Install the SELCAL Decoder Unit:
 (a)  
Move the SELCAL decoder unit into the rack.

 (b)  
Install the fastener.

 (c)  
Put the correct SELCAL code on the No. 1 and the No. 2 decoders.

 NOTE: You can identify the airplane SELCAL code on a placard
____ found on the main instrument panel.

 (2)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:

 (a)  
P18 Load Control Center - Left
 1) SELCAL-1

 (b)  
P6 Load Control Center - Right
 1) SELCAL-2

 

 (3)  
Do this task: "SELCAL System Test", (Ref 23-28-00/501).

 A.  The SELCAL control panel is installed on the forward electronics control panel. The panel is installed with four fasteners and is electrically connected by a cable behind the unit.
