Open the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C85, OBS AUDIO
(v)
Make sure the volume level of the speakers does not decrease.
(w)
Make sure that no transmitter transmits. 1) Make sure the observer's VHF-1 microphone light comes on.
(x)
Close the circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C85, OBS AUDIO 2) Make sure the observer's FLT INT microphone light comes on.
(y)
Push the PTT switch on the captain's control wheel down to the INT position. 1) Make sure you can speak and hear between the flight crew
with the oxygen masks. a) Make sure the volume level of the speakers does not decrease.
(z)
Set the MASK/BOOM switch on the three ASP to the BOOM position. (aa) Push the FLT INT microphone button on all three ASP. (ab) Push the top of the PTT switch on the captain's control wheel
to the MIC position.
1) Make sure you can speak and hear with the boom microphone headsets between the captain and the first officer. a) Make sure the volume level of the speakers decreases
when the captain or the first officer transmits.
2) Make sure you can speak and hear from the captain's boom microphone headset to the flight interphone jack on the external power panel.
3) Make sure you can speak and hear with the headphones and the hand microphones from the captain to the first officer. a) Make sure the volume level of the speakers decreases.
(ac) Push the FLT INT and the SERV INT volume controls to the off position. (ad) Turn the FLT INT and the SERV INT fully counterclockwise on the ASP. (ae) Push the PTT switch down to the INT position at one pilot's station.

(af) Push the PTT switch down to the INT position at the other pilot's station. 1) Make sure you hear a minimum sound level on the speakers.

(4) Do a Test of the Dual Power Sources:
(a)
Open the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right a) C239, INTERPHONE POWER, CAPT, NO. 2 BUS b) C165, VHF-1 COMM
(b)
Make sure you can speak and hear between the captain's and the observer's position.
(c)
Open the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C240, INTERPHONE POWER, CAPT, BATT
(d)
Make sure you can hear no interphone sounds at the captain's and the observer's station.
(e)
Close the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C165, VHF-1 COMM
(f)
Make sure that only the VHF-1 microphone light comes on, at the captain's and the observer's ASPs.
(g)
Make sure the VHF-1 radio is the only one you can use to speak to a ground station.
(h)
Make sure you can hear the sidetone at the first officer's station with the first officer's boom microphone headset.
(i)
Make sure you can use the MASK-BOOM switch to set the BOOM or the oxygen mask microphone on the captain's ASP.
(j)
Close the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right a) C239, INTERPHONE POWER, CAPT, NO. 2 BUS
(k)
Make sure you can use all the radios on the captain's and the observer's ASP.
(l)
Make sure you can speak and hear between the captain's and the observer's ASP.
(m)
Open the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C165, VHF-1 COMM
