1) Make sure you can hear the announcement on the new PSU speaker.

Put the microphone back in the holder.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).

ATTENDANT SPEAKER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are three tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of an attendant speaker. The second task is the installation of an attendant speaker. The third task is a test of the installed attendant speaker.

2. Attendant Speaker Removal_________________________
A. General
(1)
This task removes a forward or aft attendant speaker.
(2)
The location of the forward attendant speaker is in the ceiling between the forward entry and galley service doors.
(3)
The location of the two aft attendant speakers is in the ceiling near the aft entry and galley service doors.
(a) The speakers are on the inboard side of each EXIT light at the doors.

C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) PASS ADDRESS AMPL BAT

(2) Remove the Attendant Speaker:
(a)
Open the access panel in the center of the ceiling forward of the speaker that you will remove.
(b)
Disconnect the two speaker wires from the speaker.
(c)
Remove the four screws, the speaker cover, and the speaker.

Hold the speaker and the cover in the correct position.
(b)
Install the speaker with the four screws.
(c)
Attach the two speaker wires to the speaker.
