Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Connect a headphone into the HEADSET or HEADPHONE jack on the voice recorder control panel (P5).

Do the Operational Test:
(a) Push the TEST switch on the voice recorder control panel (P5) for a minimum of five seconds. 1) Make sure that the needle moves into the green area of the
control panel meter.

2) Make sure that you hear a series of modulated sounds through the headphone.

VOICE RECORDER CONTROL PANEL - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has three tasks:
(1)
Voice Recorder control panel removal.
(2)
Voice Recorder control panel installation.
(3)
Operational test for the control panel.
B. The control panel is installed in the pilots' overhead panel P5.
C. One connector makes the electrical connections at the rear of the control panel.
