Do a Test of the Attendant Speaker Operation:
(a) Push the call button on a passenger cabin PSU.
1) Make sure that you can hear one high chime from all the attendant speakers.

(b) Push the call button on a PSU one more time.

LAVATORY SPEAKER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are three tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of a lavatory speaker. The second task is the installation of a lavatory speaker. The third task is a test of the lavatory speaker.
TASK 23-31-13-004-001
2. Lavatory Speaker Removal________________________
A. General
(1)
This task removes a forward or aft lavatory speaker.
(2)
The location of the forward lavatory speaker is on the right side of the mirror and above the fluorescent lamp.
(3)
In the aft lavatories, the location of the speaker is in the Passenger Service Unit (PSU) in the ceiling.

C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) PASS ADDRESS AMPL BAT

(2) Remove the Lavatory Speaker:
(a)
Put a small rod or a equivalent device into the hole in each inboard corner of the PSU.
(b)
Push to release the latch (use care not to damage the PSU surface). 1) Lower the PSU assembly until the lanyard is tight.
(c)
Remove the two speaker wires from the speaker.
(d)
Identify the two speaker wires for a correct installation at a subsequent time.
(e)
Remove the four screws, the speaker cover, and the speaker.
