Put the speaker in its location.
(c)
While you hold the speaker, start the four screws.
(d)
Install the four screws completely.
NOTE: Be careful when you install the screws.
____ You can damage the decorative surface near the screws very easily.
(e) Install the decorative laminate in the top of the control cabin: 1) Install the decorative laminate with the eight (8) screws.

(2) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6 Load Control Center - Right
1) C83, CAPT AUDIO
2) C86, F/O AUDIO

4. Interphone Speaker Installation Test

A. General
(1) This task does a test of the interphone speaker you installed. The test has two parts, the captain's speaker and the first officer's speaker. Do the test on the speaker that you installed.

(2) Prepare the system for the test:
(a)
Push the FLT INT buttons on all three Audio Selector Panels (ASP) to the ON position. 1) Make sure the FLT INT light comes on.
(b)
Turn the FLT INT volume controls on the ASP to approximately 1/2 MAX.
(c)
Push the SPKR volume control to the ON position.
(d)
Tune in a ADF or VHF radio and set the radio on the ASP.

(3) Do a Test of the Captain's Interphone Speaker:
(a)
Turn the SPKR volume control to approximately 1/2 MAX.
(b)
Put the captain's hand held microphone within approximately 12 inches (30 centimeters) of the captain's speaker.
(c)
Push the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the microphone. 1) Make sure you hear no unwanted sound on the speaker. 2) Make sure the volume level of the speaker decreases.
(d)
Open the circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center - Right a) C83, CAPT AUDIO 2) Make sure the volume level of the first officer's speaker
does not decrease. 3) Make sure that no transmitter transmits.
(e)
Close the circuit breaker:
1) P6 Load Control Center - Right
a) C83, CAPT AUDIO

(4) Do a Test of the First Officer's Interphone Speaker:
(a)
Turn the SPKR volume control to approximately 1/2 MAX.
(b)
Put the first officer's hand held microphone within approximately 12 inches (30 centimeters) of the first officer's speaker.
(c)
Push the PTT button on the microphone. 1) Make sure you hear no unwanted sound on the speaker. 2) Make sure the volume level of the speaker decreases.
(d)
Open the circuit breaker: 1) P6 Load Control Center - Right a) C86, F/O AUDIO 2) Make sure the volume level of the captain's speaker does
not decrease. 3) Make sure that no transmitter transmits.
