Do a Test of the PA Amplifier Operation:
(a) AIRPLANES WITH A 346D-2B AMPLIFIER; Put the TEST/NORM/CAL switch in the CAL position. 1) Make sure that the -1 and 0 db LEDs come on.

2) If the -1 and the 0 db LEDs do not come on, adjust the MASTER GAIN potentiometer until the -1 and 0 db LEDs come on.
NOTE: The MASTER GAIN control potentiometer can be
____ found below the handle on the front panel of the amplifier.
(b)
Put the TEST/NORM/CAL switch to the TEST position.
1) Make sure you can hear a high chime sound on the passenger address speakers.
(c)
Put the TEST/NORM/CAL switch back to the NORM position.
(d)
AIRPLANES WITH A 255-5 AMPLIFIER; Put the NORM/CAL switch to the CAL position. 1) Make sure the meter shows 0 db. 2) If the meter does not show 0 db, adjust the MASTER GAIN
control potentiometer until the meter shows 0 db.
NOTE: The MASTER GAIN control potentiometer can be found
____ below the handle on the front panel of the amplifier.
(e)
Put the NORM/CAL switch back to the NORM position.
(f)
Put the NORM/SPKR TEST switch to the SPKR TEST position.
1) Make sure you can hear a high chime sound on the passenger address speakers.
(g)
Put the NORM/SPKR TEST switch back to the NORM position.

PASSENGER SERVICE UNIT SPEAKER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has three tasks. The first task is the removal of a passenger service unit (PSU) speaker. The second task is the installation of a PSU speaker. The third task is a installation test of a PSU speaker.
B. PSUs have speakers installed as necessary to supply equal sound in the passenger compartment.

A. General
(1) This task removes a PSU speaker from the passenger service unit (PSU).

D. Procedure
