announcement on the speakers.
NOTE: A tape reproducer with the correct solid state
____ stored voice (SSSV) components in it is necessary for correct announcement operation. A tape reproducer with blank announcement components in it will not make an announcement. The part numbers of the SSSV components in the tape reproducer are found on the tape reproducer label.

(6) Do a Test of the Voice Announcement Operation:
(a) Make a PA announcement with all the oxygen masks.
NOTE: Use one mask at a time.

1) Make sure you can hear the announcement on the attendant, the PSU, and the lavatory speakers.
(b)
Make a PA announcement from the Audio Selector Panels (ASP) (Ref 23-51-00/501). 1) Make sure an attendant cannot make a PA announcement at the
same time.
(c)
Make a PA announcement from the attendant stations.
1) Make sure the volume level of the attendant speaker at that station decreases.

(7) Do a Test of the Chime Operation:
(a)
Turn on the Passenger Signs System (Ref 33-24-00/201).
(b)
Push the attendant call button on a PSU. 1) Make sure you hear one high chime sound on the PA speakers.
(c)
Push some more call buttons.
1) Make sure you hear a high chime sound each time you push a call button.
(d)
Push the call buttons once more.
1) Make sure the attendant light goes off.
(e)
Push the CAPTAIN call button on each attendant's panel.
1) BEJ ALL EXCEPT B-2535, B2536; Make sure you hear a high chime sound on the Flight Compartment speaker.
2) BEJ B-2535, B-2536; Make sure you hear a high chime sound on the Aural Warning Unit in the Flight Compartment.
(f) Push the ATTENDANT call button on each attendant's panel.
1) Make sure you hear a high/low chime on the attendant speakers and in the passenger cabin.

Put the "FASTEN SEAT BELT" and the "NO SMOKING" sign switches to the "OFF" position.
NOTE: The switches are on the overhead panel in the Flight

Put the "FASTEN SEAT BELT" sign switch to the "ON" position.
1) Make sure you hear a low chime sound in the passenger cabin.
(j)
Put the "FASTEN SEAT BELT" sign switch to the "OFF" position.

Put the "NO SMOKING" sign switch to the "ON" position.
