VHF COMMUNICATION TRANSCEIVER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the VHF communication transceiver. The second task in the installation of the VHF communication transceiver.
B. The VHF communication transceivers are installed on the top shelf of the E2 rack in the main equipment center. A rack connector is on the rear of each unit.

3. VHF Communication Transceiver Installation__________________________________________
A. General
(1) When you do the VHF communication system installation test, make sure the airplane is not in or near any large metal structures. VHF communications while the airplane is on the ground can be degraded by airplane orientation or by rf signal attenuation. If the transmitted and received voice is not satisfactory, move the airplane to a better position.
