1) Put the rod in the holes of the PSU face panel to open the assembly.
(b)
Hold the PSU panel. 1) Push the spring clip with the rod to release the assembly.
(c)
Slowly lower the PSU panel assembly until the lanyard can hold the PSU.
(d)
Disconnect the PSU electrical connector.
(e)
Identify the location of the electrical wires on the speaker transformer terminals.

(f)
Disconnect the two speaker wires from the speaker transformer terminals.
(g)
Move the torsion springs at the speaker (2 locations) until you can remove the speaker from the PSU assembly.
(h)
Carefully remove the speaker from the PSU.
NOTE: Do not cause damage to the speaker gasket between
____ the speaker and PSU assembly.
(i) Release the torsion springs on the PSU.

3. PSU Speaker Installation

A. General
(1) This task installs a PSU speaker in a PSU assembly.
B. Access
(1) Location Zones
100 Upper Half of Fuselage
C. Procedure
S 424-004
(1) Install the PSU Speaker:
(a)
Install the speaker gasket.
(b)
Move the torsion springs on the PSU assembly to permit the installation of the speaker.
(c)
Install the speaker on the PSU assembly.
1) Make sure the gasket is level after the speaker installation.
(d)
Release the torsion springs.
1) Make sure the torsion springs will hold the speaker in its position.
(e)
Connect the electrical wires to the speaker transformer terminals.
(f)
Connect the PSU electrical connector.
(g)
Push the PSU panel assembly up until it closes to the usual position.
