For the Left ram-air outlet flap,

For the Right ram-air outlet flap,

(2)
Make sure that the ram-air outlet-flap actuator/s is/are removed (Ref. TASK 21-61-52-000-001).

A. Installation of the Ram-Air Outlet Flap
(1) For the Left ram-air outlet flap:
(a)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(b)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(c)
Put the ram-air outlet flap (5) in the closed position in the aircraft.
(d)
Hold the ram-air outlet flap (5) and install the shafts (8) and (9).
(e)
Install the bolts (10).
(f)
TORQUE the bolts (10) to 0.4 m.daN (35.39 lbf.in).
(g)
Put the bonding strap (17) in position and install the bolt (11) and the washer (18)

(h)
TORQUE the bolt (11) to 0.4 m.daN (35.39 lbf.in) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(i)
Safety the bolts (10) and (11) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(j)
Install the washer (15) and the nut (14).
(k)
TORQUE the nut to 0.1 m.daN (8.84 lbf.in).
(l)
Put the lever (2) in position on the shaft (9). NOTE : Make sure that the marking on the lever (2) is in line
____ with the marking on the shaft (9).
(m)
Install the bolt (16), the washer (19) and the nut (20). NOTE : Do not fully tighten the nut (3) at this time.

(n)
Install the washer (3) and the nut (4). NOTE : Do not fully tighten the nut (4) at this time.
____
(o)
Put the lining plate (13) in position and install the screws (12).
(p)
Put the lining plate (6) in position and install the screws (7).
(q)
Install the ram-air outlet-flap actuator (1) (Ref. TASK 21-61-52-400-001).
NOTE : Do not install the access panel/s at this time.
____
(r) Make sure that :-
1_ The ram-air outlet flap (5) is in the fully closed position.
2_ The ram-air outlet-flap actuator (1) is in the fully retracted
position.
3_ The centerlines of the lever (2) and the ram-air outlet-flap
actuator (1) align.
(s)
TORQUE the nut (4) to 0.5 m.daN (44.24 lbf.in).
(t)
TORQUE the nut (20) to 0.3 m.daN (26.54 lbf.in).

(a)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(b)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(c)
Put the ram-air outlet flap (5) in the closed position in the aircraft.
