(2)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(3)
Hold the air outlet flap (1) and the actuator (3) and remove the nut (7), the bolt (4) and the bush (5).
(4)
Let the air outlet flap move to the fully open position and make sure that:
(a)
The air outlet flap is not cracked or damaged.
(b)
When you move the air outlet flap it does not cause damage to the aircraft structure or to itself.
(5)
If the air outlet flap is cracked or damaged you must:
(a)
Remove the air outlet flap (Ref. TASK 21-61-52-000-002).
(b)
To the aircraft structure temporarily attach:
-
the disconnected actuator (3) and,
-
the disconnected electrical connector (2).
NOTE : The work steps which follow are not necessary if the air
____
outlet flap has been removed.
(6)
Put the lever (6) in position on the actuator (3) and install the bush (5), the bolt (4) and the nut (7).
(7)
Remove the blanking caps and connect the electrical connector (2).

E. Deactivation of the Air Outlet Flap
NOTE : The work steps which follow are not necessary if the air outlet
____
flap has been removed.
NOTE : For the following procedure 2 persons, each with an
____ intercommunication set, are necessary. One person in the cockpit to control the movement of the related air outlet flap. One person at the related air outlet flap to monitor its movement.
(1) Do the operational test of the pack temperature-control system (Ref. TASK 21-61-00-710-001)
NOTE : During the test the person at the air outlet flap must monitor
____ its movement. He must inform the person in the cockpit when the air-outlet flap gap is 40 mm (1.5748 in.) or more (dimension A) (Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 21-61-00-991-008) The person in the cockpit must then open these circuit breakers:-
FOR 9HH
1HH, 2HH.
FOR 29HH

This should stop the air outlet flap at the necessary open position.
(2) If the air outlet flap does not move during the test you must:
-remove the air outlet flap (Ref. TASK 21-61-52-000-002).
-temporarily secure the air-outlet flap actuator and the disconnected electrical connector to the aircraft structure.
-retain the removed components and the air outlet flap.
NOTE : These must remain with the aircraft until you do the
____
reactivation of the air outlet flap.
