4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Compressor Pneumatic Overheat-Sensor
(1)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2)
Make sure that the removed packing (6) is in a good condition. If necessary replace the packing (6).
(3)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4)
Apply a small quantity of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the screws (3).
(5)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(6)
Put the packing (6) in position on the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5).
(7)
Put the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5) in position in the pipe assembly (1) and install the washers (4) and the screws (3).
(8)
Make sure that the compressor pneumatic overheat-sensor (5) is in the correct position and tighten the screws (3).
(9)
Wipe clean the excess COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) from the screws (3) and safety with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-009).
(10)
Connect the sense line (2).
(11)
TORQUE the sense line (2) connector to between 0.95 and 1.05 m.daN
(84.07 and 92.92 lbf.in).
(12)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
