 -Continuous Monitoring,
 -System Test.

R **ON A/C 401-499,
 A. Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) The ACSC 2 57HH control the Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) function for the cockpit and cabin temperature control system. It monitors the hardware. It sends failure data to the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) (Ref. 31-32-00). For BITE of the ACSC (Ref. 21-61-00).

R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 301-399,
 (1) Power-up Test
 If the aircraft is on the ground and

 -both packs are switched off,
 -the flow control valves are closed,
 -both pack controllers energized and having finished their power-up
 tests plus 5 sec delay for confirmation, the ZC power-up test is done after a cold start, a reset or a power supply interrupt (a loss of power for more than 2 milliseconds). The duration of the power-up test is 36 s. During the power-up test:
 -internal devices initialize and check the hardware and software of the ZC,
 - on the COND page of the lower ECAM display unit, the 3 trim air valve symboles move from COOL to HOT and from HOT to COOL (some other repercussions may occur depending on the A/C configuration but these can be ignored).
 When the test passed, the COND page shows the normal display. When the test fails:
 -the MASTER CAUT light comes on, - on the upper ECAM display unit, the warning COND ZONE REGUL FAULT comes on,
 - on the COND page of the lower ECAM display unit, an amber XX in place of temperature indications come on.
 (2) ZC Reset For the ZC reset the subsequent circuit breakers must be opened for at least 200 miliseconds:.
 -
AIR COND/ZONE TEMP (1HK) on the circuit breaker panel 122VU,

 -
AIR COND/ZONE TEMP (2HK) on the circuit breaker panel 122VU,

 -
AIR COND/ZONE TEMP (3HK) on the circuit breaker panel 122VU,

 -
AIR COND/ZONE TEMP (4HK) on the circuit breaker panel 122VU.

 Continuous Monitoring The monitoring is done continuously after power is supplied to the system. In the event of a failure detection, the system activates the related back-up and discriminates the faulty line replaceable unit.

 System Test A system test is only done if it is requested on the Multipurpose Control Display Unit (MCDU). It is done before and after replacement of a component. It continues for not more than 300 seconds.


 B. MCDU You can set the MCDU to show the failures that occurred during the last flight. The data comes from the CFDS (Ref. 31-32-00). You can also start the system test from the MCDU. From the CAB TEMP CONT menu, you can set:
 -<LAST LEG REPORT,
 -<PREVIOUS LEGS REPORT,
 -<LRU IDENTIFICATION,
 -<GND REPORT,
 -<TEST,
 -<CLASS 3 FAULTS.

 <LAST LEG REPORT If you push the <LAST LEG REPORT line key, the screen shows for each failure that occurred during the last leg:

 -
the date of the last leg,


 -
the time the failure occured,


 -
the ATA number of the component,


 -
the functional designation of the component,


 -
the FIN of the component.
 The screen can show a maximum of two failures at a time. If there are
 more failures, you must push the next page key on the MCDU keyboard.
 If there are no failures, NO FAULT DETECTED is shown.

 <PREVIOUS LEGS REPORT If you push the <PREVIOUS LEGS REPORT line key, the screen shows for each failure that has not been corrected from previous reports:
