C. Landing ..............ACCOMPLISH WITH BCS CHL #2 CB PULLED (OUT)
IF UNCOMMANDED PRESSURE REMAINS:
D. BCS CHL #2 CB...............................................................................RESET
5. ANTI SKID........................................................................................................OFF
A. Brake Pedals ..........CYCLE IN ATTEMPT TO CLEAR UNCOMMANDED
PRESSURE
IF BRAKE PRESSURE RETURNS TO NORMAL:
B. Landing....PERFORM USING ANTI-SKID OFF BRAKING PROCEDURE
See Section 05-02-20: Anti-Skid Off Braking (Brake-By-Wire) (SN 1000
Through 1213 Without ASC 190/266), or Section 05-02-30: Anti-Skid Off
Braking (Brake-By-Wire) (SN 1000 Through 1213 With ASC 190/266).
IF UNCOMMANDED APPLIED BRAKE PRESSURE REMAINS, ASSUME
PRESSURE WILL BE PRESENT DURING LANDING. PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
6. ANTI SKID .........................................................................................................ON
7. Landing .......................PERFORM ASSUMING BRAKE PRESSURE PRESENT
See Section 05-05-60: Landing With Applied Brake Pressure Indicated (Brake-By-

3. AUX PUMP ...................................................................ARMED (NOT RUNNING)
ON TOUCHDOWN:
4. Reverse Thrust..............................................................APPLY AS NECESSARY
5. Directional Control ...........MAINTAIN WITH RUDDER AND/OR NOSE WHEEL
STEERING
6. Brakes ......................................................................DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE
WHEN GROUND SPEED IS LESS THAN 80 KNOTS:
CAUTION
ANTI-SKID PROTECTION IS NOTAVAILABLE WHEN
USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SYSTEM. FOR
FURTHER INFORMATION, SEE THE EMERGENCY
BRAKES (BRAKE-BY-WIRE) PROCEDURE IN THIS
SECTION.
7. Metered Parking Brake Pressure .............................USE TO STOP AIRPLANE
The wheel brakes may be operated by brake accumulator pressure
through use of the PARK/EMERG BRAKE handle, thus bypassing pedal
braking (toe brake) control. A fully charged brake accumulator allows
approximately Þve (5) to six (6) applications of the PARK/EMERG BRAKE
handle before pressure is depleted.

Revision 0
The recommended method of using the PARK/EMERG BRAKE handle to
meter applied brake pressure is to Þrst grasp the handle with Þngertips
only, resting the thumb near the base of the SPEED BRAKE handle slot.
When ready to apply brake pressure, CAREFULLY raise the PARK/
EMERG BRAKE handle in Å to ½ inch (0.635 to 1.27 cm) increments to
avoid excessive pressure. Caution should be used not to extend handle
beyond the position where braking is Þrst felt.
B. Braking Action/Pressure............................................MONITOR/ADJUST
There may be a delay in the rise of applied brake pressure when using the
PARK/EMERG BRAKE handle to meter pressure. Wait for braking action to
commence. Increase PARK/EMERG BRAKE handle travel as required.
AS THE AIRPLANE DECELERATES:
C. Brake Pressure .............................MODULATE (METER) AS REQUIRED
As the airplane decelerates, repositioning (modulating or metering) of the
PARK/EMERG BRAKE handle (easing in) may be necessary to prevent
sudden stopping or tire skidding.
05-05-70: Uncommanded Applied Brake Pressure During Landing
Rollout (Brake-By-Wire)
1. Reverse Thrust..............................................................APPLY AS NECESSARY
2. Directional Control ...........MAINTAIN WITH RUDDER AND/OR NOSE WHEEL
STEERING
3. Brakes........................DISCONTINUE USE – FEET OFF THE BRAKE PEDALS
4. Brake Pressure..........................................REAPPLY AFTER ONE (1) SECOND
