05-19-13: One Main Gear Only Down And Locked
If only one main gear is extended, retract gear and perform an all gear up landing.
Touch down on runway centerline. When aft fuselage contacts runway surface,
gently lower nose to runway, immediately shut down both engines with FIRE
handles, and select batteries (BATT 1 / BATT 2) to OFF. Maintain directional
control with rudder.
05-19-14: Both Main Gear Retracted, Nose Gear Down And Locked
If unable to extend and lock main gear, retract nose gear and perform an all gear
up landing. Touch down on runway centerline. When aft fuselage contacts runway
surface, gently lower nose to runway, immediately shut down both engines with
FIRE handles, and select batteries (BATT 1 / BATT 2) to OFF. Maintain directional
control with rudder.
05-19-20: Landing Gear Alternate Operation
FAILURE TO RETRACT:
Should the landing gear fail to retract on takeoff, the landing gear selector handle

should be returned to the DOWN position and the airplane should return for
landing and troubleshooting on the ground.
CAUTION
USE OF THE D-RING IN AN ATTEMPT TO RETRACT
LANDING GEAR IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
FAILURE TO EXTEND:
Alternate extension will be required if normal extension does not result in a down
and locked gear condition. Alternate extension will be required if the airplane
experiences a loss of Combined Hydraulic System fluid, since the Utility Hydraulic
System will be inoperative. In this case, Steps 2 and 3 below may be omitted.
LANDING GEAR EXTENSION IS ACCOMPLISHED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Landing Gear Handle .................................................................................DOWN
2. EMERG. LDG. GEAR T-Handle ....PUSH DOWN TO ASSURE FULLY SEATED
Wait a minimum of thirty (30) seconds after re-seating EMERG. LDG. GEAR
T-Handle.
AFTER THIRTY (30) SECONDS:
3. DUMP VALVE RESET D-RING......PULL UP FULLY AND HOLD FOR TEN (10)
SECONDS, THEN RESTOW FULLY
IF PROPER GEAR POSITION AND INDICATION IS NOT ACHIEVED, PROCEED AS
FOLLOWS:
CAUTION
A FULLY CHARGED NITROGEN BOTTLE (3000 PSI
AT 70° F (21° C)) WILLALLOW ONLY ONE (1) EXTENSION
OF THE LANDING GEAR.
4. Airspeed ...............................................................................175 KCAS OR LESS
5. EMERG. LDG. GEAR T-Handle....................................................................PULL
NOTE:
Ensure landing gear handle is DOWN for proper gear
position indication and nose wheel steering operation.
Operation of the emergency landing gear system is
not predicated upon position of landing gear handle.

6. Landing Gear Extended Speed Limitation...OBSERVE (250 KCAS / 0.70 MT)
RETRACTION FOLLOWING ALTERNATE EXTENSION:
WARNING
A FULLY CHARGED NITROGEN BOTTLE (3000 PSI
AT 70° F (21° C)) WILL ALLOW ONLY ONE (1)
EXTENSION OF THE LANDING GEAR.
RETRACTION FOLLOWING ALTERNATE
EXTENSION COULD RESULT IN A GEAR UP
LANDING.
CAUTION
THIS RESET/RETRACTION PROCEDURE IS
PROVIDED FOR USE IF GREATER OR
COMPOUNDED EMERGENCY CONDITIONS EXIST
AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AUTHORIZATION

MAINTENANCE OR TRAINING USE OF THE BLOW
DOWN SYSTEM.
Extension of the landing gear using the preceding procedures actuates valves to
isolate the hydraulic system form the nitrogen pressure of the emergency
extension system. Should conditions necessitate landing gear retraction, the
system must be reset to the normal configuration. Retraction will not be possible
if Combined Hydraulic System fluid is lost.
TO RETRACT THE LANDING GEAR FOLLOWING AN ALTERNATE EXTENSION,
PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
7. Landing Gear Handle .................................................................................DOWN
8. EMERG. LDG. GEAR T-Handle ......................................................PUSH DOWN
Wait a minimum of thirty (30) seconds after re-seating EMERG. LDG. GEAR
T-Handle.
AFTER THIRTY (30) SECONDS:
9. DUMP VALVE RESET D-RING .....................................................................PULL
NOTE:
D-ring must be pulled up fully, held for ten (10)
seconds, then restowed.
10. Landing Gear Handle .......................................................................................UP
NOTE:
There is no backup method for retracting landing gear.
