messages. Because of capsule or CAS message space constraints, the
legends of the messages of the duplicated subjects are not identical, but
are similar, so that confusion should not result. The SWLP will operate
continuously if manual (MAN) is selected. If operated in automatic (AUTO),
the panel will operate whenever EICAS display is lost on DU 3 or 4. The
AUTO-MAN switch is located on the bottom of the SWLP. Preflight checks
may be accomplished with the SWLP in AUTO or MAN mode.
B. Standby Warning Lights Panel Messages:
The following messages are displayed on the SWLP:

3. Other Notification Methods:
Aircraft status information is also provided to the flight crew by means of
annunciations contained within various cockpit controls. These annunciations are
usually associated with a related CAS message, but are also capable of
independent operation should a CAS failure occur. Examples of these types of
annunciators, among others, are:
• Lights contained within the Left and Right Fire Handles, and Left and Right
HP Fuel Cocks, which are associated with engine fire CAS messages.
• Lights contained within the landing gear control handle which are
associated with landing gear and landing gear door position.
• NO GND SPLRS lights located on the center windshield post.
4. Warning/Caution Tone/Indication Inhibit Feature:
With the landing gear extended and at least one radio altimeter valid, some
Warning/Caution aural tones and the corresponding Master Warning Light/Master
Caution Light can be inhibited by depressing the glareshield inhibit switch.
All CAS ADVISORY (blue) tones and CAS CAUTION (amber) tones (single chime
and double chime, respectively), can be inhibited with the SWLP in AUTO or
MAN. (Exception: CAS CAUTION tone associated with the amber CPL DATA
INVALID amber CAS message.)
In airplanes with the Standby Warning Lights Panel removed (SPZ-8400
equipped aircraft), neither the CAS WARNING (red) tone (triple chime) nor
the Master Warning Light can be inhibited.
A. For SPZ-8000 Equipped Aircraft:
The following Warning/Caution aural tones and the corresponding Master
Warning Light/Master Caution Light annunciations cannot be inhibited:
(1) CAS WARNING (red) aural tone and corresponding Master Warning

04-01-20: Aural Notification
1. SPZ-8000 Tone Generator:
For SPZ-8000 equipped aircraft: A tone generator is installed to provide audible
sounds, calling the attention of the flight crew to an associated message or
condition. A tone generator test panel is installed on the copilot’s side console for
testing the tones. The aural tones provided and test positions are:
