Check that all items inside service door are secure and ensure access door is
secure.
45. Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Exhaust.......................................................CLEAR
Check that APU exhaust pipe is clear with no evidence of abnormal burning or

46. Right Fire Extinguisher ............................................................................CHECK
Verify proper extinguisher bottle pressure by checking bottle gauge through
window.
47. Right Precooler Exhaust ..........................................................................CLEAR
Check that precooler exhaust on lower pylon surface is clear.
48. Right Heat Exchanger Exhaust................................................................CLEAR
This louvered exhaust port should be clear and vanes undamaged (bent, cracked,
etc.).
49. Right Engine Cowl / Vents.....................................................CHECK / SECURE
Check that engine cowl is closed and all latches are fastened. Check that all
intake and exhaust ports are open and clear. Verify no obvious damage to
exhaust or indications of distress.
50. Right Thrust Reverser ......................................CHECK / PROPERLY STOWED
Check thrust reverser and surrounding area for damage and hydraulic leakage.
NOTE:
If the lower thrust reverser door leading edge is
sagged out of normal contour, report for maintenance
action before next flight.
AFT FUSELAGE AND TAIL:
51. Elevator / Rudder / Static Wicks .............................................................CHECK
Check upper tail surfaces for possible damage, loose inspection covers, etc.
Check that all static wicks are properly secured.
52. Tail Cone Navigation Light / Static Wick (2) ..........................................CHECK
Check tail navigation light cover and lamp for condition. Also check that static wick
is installed underneath light.
53. Horizontal Stabilizer Position ..................................................................CHECK
Check that position of stabilizer leading edge corresponds with flap position by
observing stabilizer position marks on vertical stabilizer.
AFT COMPARTMENT:
The aft compartment should be inspected for condition, noting any evidence of
hydraulic leaks, hot bleed air leaks, damaged electrical wiring, and any evidence
of battery overheating.

Check that external air access door is closed and latched if not in use. This port
can be used for air conditioning of airplane or engine start from an external air
source.

62. Left Heat Exchanger Exhaust ..................................................................CLEAR
This louvered exhaust port should be clear and vanes undamaged (bent, cracked,
