Crew Advisory system (CAS) for related messages, and perform the procedure related to
that warning message.

MASTER WARNING reset switch ″W″
legend (red) illuminated on Pilot’s /
Copilot’s Master Warning and Caution
Lights Panel.
A new WARNING (red) message is
displayed on CAS. The new message
will be displayed flashing on the top of
the WARNING messages stack.
Triple chime aural tone sounds.
Warning horn sounds

04-03-10: Crew Alerting System (CAS) Caution Messages and
Procedures
CAS Message: Possible Cause(s): Corrective Action:
L-R AC POWER FAIL AC output from
converter has dropped
off line.
(1) Check engine idle speed.
(2) Select ELECTRIC
MASTER, LEFT PWR or
RIGHT PWR switch to
OFF, then ON.
(3) If unable to reset, place
switch to OFF position.
AHRS COOL FAIL AHRS cooling fan has
failed.
This message is displayed
when AHRS or IRS 3 is first
selected ON (five seconds) and
AHRS / IRS is in self-test.
If message is displayed at other
times, shut down AHRS / IRS 3.
L-R ALT BRG FAIL Alternator main bearing
has failed and is
operating on auxiliary
bearing.
Operation on auxiliary bearing
can continue for fifteen (15)
hours at full load or fifty (50)
hours at no load. Message will
remain displayed. Time of
occurrence should be recorded.
L-R ALT FUEL FAIL Alternate fuel boost
pump has failed.
See Section 05-16-20, Fuel
Boost Pump Failure.
L-R ALT HOT Alternator temperature
is above 250° F (121°
C).
(1) Select ELECTRIC
MASTER, LEFT PWR or
RIGHT PWR switch to
OFF.
(2) Check EVM.
If necessary, see Section 05-21-
50, Alternator Overheat.
ALT MODE OFF
