SUBJECT: GIV Quick Reference Handbook Revision 8,
Dated October 11/02
This Letter to Operators introduces the release of Revision 8 of the GIV
Quick Reference Handbook, dated October 11/02. This revision corresponds
to GIV Flight Manual Revision 30, dated October 11/02. This revision
is applicable to both non-SP GIV aircraft (SN 1000 through 1213 not
having ASC 190) and GIV-SP aircraft (SN 1214 and subs; SN 1000 through
1213 having ASC 190).
In addition to the changes contained in this revision due to Flight Manual
Revision 30, this revision updates the Application Guidelines and Holdover
Times For SAE Type I, II and IV De-icing Fluid Mixtures. A chart
showing Permissible Fuel Imbalance For All Flight Operations has also
been added as a convenience to Operators. The remainder of the revision
updates page numbers for procedures due to material shift and corrects
any noted errors and omissions. All suggestions received in the form of
Publications Change Requests and Pilot’s Manuals Direct Line forms were
evaluated and, if approved, incorporated into this revision.
To incorporate this revision, remove the superseded pages and incorporate
the new pages noting the reasons for change outlined in the Summary of
Revision 8. Next, use the List of Effective Pages to ensure the currency
of all pages. If any missing pages are noted while incorporating this revision,

Other Notes
The Gulfstream IV Flight Crew Reference Library CD-ROM is now in the
process of being updated for release as version 2002-04. Version 2002-04
will contain complete copies of the GIV Flight Manual, Operating Manual,
Quick Reference Handbook, Cockpit Card, MMEL, MMOP and Noise Information
Manual.
