5. STALL BARRIER Switch .....................................ON, PROCEED WITH FLIGHT
If stick pusher actuates in flight and cannot be partially restored using this procedure, it
is probable that a hydraulic malfunction has occurred in the stall barrier system. In this
event, it will be necessary to continue flight with the stall barrier system deactivated by
leaving the STALL BARRIER switch in the OFF position.
05-15-50: Ground Spoiler Failure
GND SPOILER (RED)
IF THE GND SPOILER WARNING MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED IN FLIGHT:
1. GND SPLR OFF/ARMED Switch....................................................................OFF
2. GND SPOILER Circuit Breaker ...................................................................PULL
The GND SPOILER circuit breaker is located on the Copilot’s Overhead Panel,
C-6.
IF THE “NO GND SPOILER” WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES AND REMAINS ON
AFTER LANDING TOUDCHDOWN (WITH GROUND SPOILERS ARMED):
3. SPEED BRAKES ............................................................DEPLOY IMMEDIATELY
NOTE:
The red AIRCRAFT CONFIGURATION warning
message may be displayed on CAS, in conjunction
with the associated three chime aural warning tone.
Duration of message and tone, if any, is momentary.
NOTE:
The NO GND SPOILER warning light may illuminate
momentarily after touchdown during landing, and then
extinguish, in less than one (1) second. This is the
normal sequence of events as the ground spoilers go
through their automatic deployment process. Wheel
spin-up logic should preclude this occurrence. If the
NO GND SPOILER warning light remains illuminated
after touchdown, the above procedure applies.
05-15-60: Runaway Electric Pitch Trim
IN THE EVENT OF RUNAWAY ELECTRIC PITCH TRIM:
1. Autopilot Disconnect Button (A/P DISC) ............................PRESS AND HOLD
Electric pitch trim is disabled when A/P DISC button is held.
2. Electric Pitch Trim............................................................................DISENGAGE
3. Autopilot Disconnect Button (A/P DISC)............................................RELEASE

Due to the relatively low torque involved, the following alternate procedure may be
used for runaway electric pitch trim:

6. Electric Pitch Trim............................................................................DISENGAGE

result in automatic re-engagement of electric pitch

05-15-70: Frozen Pitch Trim
Inoperative pitch trim may be due to mechanical failure or binding of one or more system
components from ice collected in the trim mechanism. The first sign of frozen pitch trim
is the display of an amber FGC 1-2 FAIL caution message on CAS, caused by the
inability of the autopilot to trim elevator control forces. If either or both FGCs experience
a hard failure due to frozen pitch trim, pull and reset the following Circuit Breakers (CBs):
• FGC #1: Copilot’s Overhead Panel, A-7
• FGC #2: Copilot’s Overhead Panel, B-7
IF FROZEN PITCH TRIM IS SUSPECTED:
1. Autopilot Disconnect Button (A/P DISC) ............................PRESS AND HOLD
2. Electric Pitch Trim............................................................................DISENGAGE
3. Pitch Trim ............ATTEMPT TO FREE USING MANUAL PITCH TRIM WHEEL
