D. Ground Service Valve ...............................................................ACTIVATE
Moving ground service valve handle aft activates the AUX pump, in turn
providing hydraulic pressure to open nosegear uplock.
WHEN UPLOCK IS OPEN:
E. Ground Service Valve................................................................RELEASE
F. External Battery Switch ......................................................................OFF
8. Parking Brake Accumulator.....................................................................CHECK
If not previously checked during Cockpit Preflight Inspection, perform the
following: With wheels chocked and brakes off, bleed off any brake pressure on
system. Check ACCUMULATOR gauge in nose wheel well for proper precharge
(approximately 1200 psi at 70°F (21°C) OAT).
NOTE:
If accumulator pressure is low, leave chocks in place
until serviced.
9. Emergency Air Bottle ...............................................................................CHECK
Check L/G EMERG BOTTLE gauge in nose wheel well for proper pressure
(approximately 3000 psi at 70°F (21°C) OAT).
10. Nosegear Ground Lock (Safety Pin) ....................................................REMOVE

11. Nosegear Door Control Valve ..FLIGHT POSITION / PIN REMOVED / COVER
SECURE
WARNING
ENSURE ALL LANDING GEAR DOORS AND
WHEEL WELLS ARE CLEAR OF PERSONNEL AND
EQUIPMENT WHEN REMOVING OR INSTALLING
SAFETY PINS.
12. Nosewheel Strut / Fairing Door / Electrical Wires.................................CHECK
Check general condition of all items.
13. Torque Link..........................................................................PINNED / SAFETIED
Check that torque link is connected, pinned and safety cable is connected.
14. Taxi Lights / Tires .....................................................................................CHECK
Check taxi lights for security, position, and condition of lamps. Check tires for
inflation, cuts, and tread wear.
RIGHT FORWARD FUSELAGE:
15. Total Air Temperature (TAT) Probe ......................COVER REMOVED / CHECK
Check that probe cover is removed and that probe is clear and free of damage.
16. Right Angle-of-Attack (AOA) Probe.....................COVER REMOVED / CHECK
Check that probe cover is removed, and check probe for damage. Verify that
sensing ports are oriented in the direction of flight.
17. Outflow Valve / Safety Valve / Static Ports.............................................CLEAR
Check that both valves are clear of obstructions and that outflow valve is fully
open. Ensure static ports are clear of obstructions.
18. External DC Power Door........................................................CHECK / SECURE
If external DC electrical power is not being used, check that receptacle door is
closed and latched.
19. Right Static Ports .............................................COVER REMOVED / CHECKED
Check that static ports are clear of obstructions.
20. Antennas....................................................................................................CHECK
Check that antennas on lower fuselage are firmly attached and undamaged.
RIGHT FUSELAGE AND WING:
21. Right Ice Inspection / Emergency Lights...............................................CHECK
Check that lights are clear, lenses are not cracked, and for evidence of a defective
lamp.
22. Right Landing Light..................................................................................CHECK
Check that there is no sign of burning or overheating of filament or cracking of
lens.
23. Window Emergency Releases / Windows............................................SECURE
Check that outside emergency release handle doors in wing fillet area are closed
and locked and that windows are flush with outer fuselage skin.
24. Right Engine Inlet / Cooling Inlets ......................COVER REMOVED / CHECK
Check that engine inlet cover is removed, and check inlet for any dents that might
indicate possible foreign object damage to engine.

25. Right Wing Vent.........................................................................................CLEAR
Check that screen is clear is free of debris.
26. Fuel Servicing Panel and Door .............................................CHECK / SECURE
Open fuel servicing panel access door and check that fuel port dust cover is
locked in position and fueling test valves are in proper position. Check for any
evidence of fuel leakage.
