apparently survives the bullet to his face and kills the
Asian-American and his family. A few years later he
returns, working for a powerful Chinese family, and
the partner makes it his life’s work to get him. The
ending is ludicrous and the movie fair, even if you
like this type of action-packed flick.
Rating:
Shoot `em Up: Okay, this is supposed to be a
parody, and we’re supposed to laugh at all the silly,
brutal killings. There’s just too much blood and gore
for our funny bones to be tickled, and whatever they
were trying to achieve they missed by a country mile.
Even Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti can’t save this
film. It becomes so tiresome that one is tempted to
bring out the rosary and pray for it to self-destruct.
