• In the event that the parent/guardian is unable to attend the registration session, he/she may designate an alternate. The alternate can
only represent one parent/guardian.
• The child’s birth certificate and provincial health card will be required to complete the registration process.
• It is not necessary for children to accompany parents or guardians for registration.
• The first twenty-five (25) students registered at each school will be accepted into the Program, and the remainder placed on a waiting list
in the order in which they registered. At the discretion of the Principal, and under special circumstances, this number may be increased
and, where numbers warrant, the Board may consider other alternatives for program delivery.
• It is important that if you are considering registering your child(ren), you do so at this time.
• The French Immersion Program is available to all students in the Strait Region and takes place at the French Immersion school closest
to your home.
• Registrations will only be accepted at the school where the program is being offered.
It is the Board’s intention that Primary Registration for French Immersion be completed by the end of January 2008,
to allow time for school planning and staffing for the 2008-2009 school year.
