have to choose. We’re still looking
at ways to fi nd a way around it, but
I don’t know what it could be,”
said O’Flaherty. “We’re open to
suggestions.”
Coach Hinkley said he
contacted the HNS regional
director Danny Demone as soon as
he recognized the confl ict.
“We’re really hoping they
can get that changed. I’ve been
told they’re working on it, but
that there’s no guarantees. I know
some dates have been shuffl ed
in the past, so hopefully that can
happen again. We just have to wait
and see.”
However, Darren Cossar,
the executive director of Hockey
Nova Scotia, said Monday his
organization is not about to change
the date.
“There’s nothing we can do
about it; deadlines have to be met,
provincials have to be fi nished
before Atlantics and unfortunately,
that’s it,” he said.
Cossar added that he hadn’t
heard a lot about the confl ict
and that he doesn’t know of any
recommendations or changes
regarding the March 28th-30th
weekend.
He said HNS has no
jurisdiction over the NSSAF but
acknowledged the need for better
communication between the two
minor sports organizations.
“It’s not that we don’t care, but
it’s defi nitely a situation we can
work to avoid in the future.”
Equally competent on defence

South Colchester Academy
Wolves, losing 64-53.
The Huskies rebounded

The Huskies were

points, took advantage of
the technical fouls with
some accurate free-throw
shooting.
Tim Peters ruled both
the offensive and defensive
boards during the fourth
quarter, collecting 23 points
and 15 rebounds.
Also scoring were:
Jordan Bishop, 10; Fabrice
Goosens, 8; Todd Burchell,

The Huskies’ second
