TransAsia orders ATR72-500s
Taiwan’s TransAsia Airways and
ATR have signed a contract for 2
new ATR 72-500 aircraft plus one
option. With this contract, which is
valued at $53million including the
option, TransAsia Airways will add
two new aircraft to its actual fleet of
10 ATR (3 ATR 72-200 and 7 ATR
72-500). These two new ATR 72-500
aircraft will be delivered in 2007 in a
72-seat configuration.
Continental selects GEnx engines
to power additional Boeing 787s
Continental Airlines has chosen the
GEnx engine to power its additional
order of 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliner
aircraft. The engine order is valued
at more than $250 million. This
additional order from Continental
doubles the airlines' Boeing 787 fleet
to 20 aircraft, all powered by GEnx
engines. Continental is the first U.S.-
based airline to select the GEnx

mba placed three Boeing 757-200
aircraft, currently in operation with
US Airways (Registration: N622AU,
N623AU and N624AU) with US
Lessor, Aircastle. mba acted on
behalf of the EPIC Trust. mba has
been a technical advisor to the EPIC
Trust and its bondholders for over
four years. In this role, mba was
tasked to provide technical and
financial due diligence of the aircraft
and was engaged to remarket the
aircraft at the direction of the
bondholders.
ExpressJet takes delivery of 275th
ERJ145 family Aircraft
ExpressJet took delivery of one ERJ
145 Aircraft. The aircraft is the 275th
ERJ 145 family aircraft under a
contract signed ten years ago with
former Continental Express.
ExpressJet is the largest Embraer
regional jet operator in the world,
with a fleet of 30 ERJ 135s and 245
ERJ 145s.
EVA Air takes delivery of third
Boeing 777-300ER
Taiwan's EVA Air took delivery of its
third Boeing 777-300ER. The aircraft
features a special livery and will be
on static display from July 17 - 23 at
the Farnborough International Air
Show (FIA) 2006 in the U.K.

member of Airbus MRO network
Lufthansa Technik signed an
agreement with Airbus to become a
new member of the Airbus MRO
Network. Lufthansa Technik, with its
roots going back as far as the early
fifties, has continually expanded its
Airbus maintenance capabilities and
experience ever since the
manufacturer's aircraft entered
service in the 1970s. The Airbus
MRO Network is designed to provide
customers with a worldwide choice of
competitive, quality maintenance
services from MRO providers with
Airbus aircraft experience. The
Airbus MRO Network now includes
14 members.
