b) Unpacking
Upon receiving the container, proceed as follows:
Check the seal, and then open the container;
Inspect the airplane condition in the container: integrity of ties, check for any damages at the
shipped assemblies. Remove the ties and carefully unload the container, so as not to damage the main assemblies or the other packages.
CAUTION: Prior to unloading, prepare a storage area for storing the airplane until its assembly.

AIRPLANE MAINTENANCE MANUAL
10. 2.6.1 Airplane assembly
Assembly rules
The airplane is usually assembled in a well-lighted hangar, or even in open air, on sunny, windless days. Before proceeding to assembly, carefully read in this manual the assembly instructions and the deflection values for control surfaces. Prior to assembly, clean and visually inspect all the fittings and fasteners for damages or corrosion pits. Slightly oil the steel bolts and screws with neutral grease.
The final tightening of the nuts to the torque indicated for each dimension is done after all the fastening elements are installed on an assembly, so as to avoid any stresses in parts. First, tighten the nuts manually.
When installing the bolts observe the following general rules:
-if the bolts are installed vertically, insert them downward, with the nut at the bottom;
-if the bolts are installed horizontally, place the bolt head on flight course, if the airplane
design allows it; -if the bolts are installed across the longitudinal plane of the aircraft, place the bolt head outwards and the nut inwards, if possible. Pay special attention to the correct tightening of the nuts and safety elements.
1. Main gear assembly
1. Check the main gear for dents.
2.
Place the gears, in turn, and preliminary fasten them in their corrsponding side straps on the fuselage, without tightening the bolt to final torque.
3.
Place the gear so that the hole in the blade end matches the corresponding hole in the fuselage.
4.
Insert (from inside the cockpit) the attachment bolt, install the washers and the nut, tighten and secure them in position.
