9.2. Instrument panel
When fitting the instrument panel (see the sketch), designers took into account both the cockpit ergonomics, the necessity to ensure adequate accessibility to and visibility of the equipment from both pilots' seats, and the manufacturers’ specific requirements or the requirements imposed by the applicable regulations and the minimization of mutual interferences.
The control panel was designed from a single module, to facilitate the dismounting-mounting operations and the cable stranding, at the same time using less interconnection elements.
The LH side of the control panel, in front of the main pilot seat, is equipped with standard navigation instruments (airspeed indicator, altimeter, vertical speed indicator) and optional instruments (clock, turn and slip indicator, etc). As an option, the airplane can also be fitted with EFIS display.
The same LH side is fitted in one of the versions with a key switch.
The electrical controls, protection devices and signaling lights area located on the RH side of the control panel.
The radio-navigation equipment (COM; INTERCOM; TRANSPONDER) can also be mounted on the central area.
The compass is located either on the LH side of the control panel, or on the control panel glare shield.
On the RH side of the control panel are located the engine control instruments, fuel gauge, voltmeter, ammeter, and protection elements (circuit breakers, fusible plugs) of additional (optional) equipment in the electrical system.
Optionally, a lighter socket was fitted (possibly two), for connecting outside portable equipment.
An EMS (Engine monitoring System) display can also be mounted optionally.
