TOILET BOWL AND SEPARATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the toilet bowl and separator. The second task installs the toilet bowl and separator.
B. Make sure that you read and obey the specified instructions in the Standard Procedures for work with the Toilet Waste and Equipment (AMM 38-32-60/201).

2. Toilet Bowl and Separator Removal (Fig. 401)_________________________________

(1) AMM 12-17-61/301, Toilet Tank - Servicing
B. Access
(1) Location Zone 224 Upper Deck Crew Rest Body Sta 385 to 632, Right
C. Procedure

(1)
Do the steps in AMM 12-17-61/301 to drain, rinse and add the chemical precharge to the toilet tank.

Open the latches at the bottom of the toilet shroud.

(3)
Remove the toilet shroud.

(4)
Remove the nuts and washers that hold the toilet bowl to the toilet tank.
(5)
Remove the toilet bowl.
(6)
Remove the separator.
(7)
Remove and discard the gasket.

3. Toilet Bowl and Separator Installation (Fig. 401)______________________________________

Put a new gasket on the toilet tank.

Put the separator in its position on the toilet tank.

Make sure the centerline of the separator outlet is aligned approximately 45° clockwise from the front of the toilet tank.

Put the toilet bowl in its installed position.

(5)
Install the washers and nuts.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Turn the flush handle and make sure that the toilet flushes correctly.

Carefully put the toilet shroud over the toilet tank assembly and engage the latches.

Remove the electrical power is it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
