WATER/WASTE - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General (Fig. 1)_______
A. The water and waste systems provide water for and disposes waste water from the galley and lavatory washbasin. The self-contained toilet system collects toilet waste which is drained by ground service. For flow diagram, see Fig. 1.
B. The water system includes servicing, pressurization, indication, storage, distribution, and heating for water to the galley and lavatory washbasin.
C. The waste water system collects waste water from the galley and lavatory compartment washbasin and dumps it overboard through a drain mast.
D. The toilet in the lavatory compartment collects toilet waste. The toilet is flushed by chemical fluids that are pumped through a filter into the toilet bowl, and the fluids move the contents from the bowl into the toilet tank. The tank is drained, flushed and serviced at the toilet service panel.
