Install the vacuum couplings on the appropriate test nipples in the lid of the equipment box.
NOTE: Make sure the couplings are fully locked (1/4 turn) onto

the test nipples.
(c)
Make sure the appropriate valves are open for pressure to the lavatory drain and rinse fitting adapters.
(d)
Connect a 120 psig (825 kPa) maximum air pressure source to the vacuum test tool.
(e)
Apply a vacuum of 6 in Hg (3 PSID) (20 Kpa) to the adapters for the lavatory drain and rinse fittings of the vacuum test tool.
(f)
Shut the appropriate valves and wait for 5 minutes.
(g)
Make sure the pressure is the same as when the valves where closed. 1) If the pressure is not the same, repair the vacuum test
tool as necessary and do this test again.

2) If the pressure is the same as when the valves are closed, then continue.
(h) Release the pressure from the vacuum test tool and then disconnect the adapters from the test fittings in the equipment box.
E. Leak Test of the Drain System.
S 615-066
(1)
Do the Toilet Servicing procedure (AMM 12-17-61/301) but ignore the steps that flush the tank with water.
S 715-065
(2)
Do the leakage test of the toilet tank drain valve as follows:
(a)
Push the handle at the service panel to close waste drain ball valve.
(b)
Push the PUSH TO OPEN lever on the waste panel drain valve to make sure the waste panel drain valve is in the open position.
(c)
Open this circuit breaker on P414 Power Distribution Panel -Left and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 414E19 DRAIN VALVE LAV TANKS U-21
(d)
Pull the handle at the service panel to open waste drain ball valve.
NOTE: The toilet tank drain valve will not open and the
____ indication light om the service panel will not come on because the circuit breaker was opened in the previous step.
(e) Fill the toilet tank with water until the toilet tank is approximately half full.
NOTE: The water in the toilet tank will not fill the
____ drain tube. If water leaks from the toilet tank drain valve, the toilet tank drain valve, is damaged or not correctly engaged. Any problem must be corrected before you continue with this leak check.

(f) After 5 minutes, look for leakage at the waste panel drain valve.
NOTE: If water leaks from the waste panel drain valve,
____ the toilet tank drain valve is damaged or not fully engaged. Repair or replace the toilet tank drain valve as necessary (AMM 38-32-63/401) and restart this test.

(3) Do the leakage test of the waste drain ball valve as follows:
(a)
Disconnect the vacuum test tool from the waste panel drain valve.
(b)
Close the waste panel drain valve.
(c)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on P414 Power Distribution Panel - Left: 1) 414E19 DRAIN VALVE LAV TANKS U-21
NOTE: The toilet tank drain valve will open and
____ fill the drain tube with water.
(d)
Open this circuit breaker on P414 Power Distribution Panel -Left and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 414E19 DRAIN VALVE LAV TANKS U-21
(e)
Push the handle on the service panel to close the waste drain ball valve.
