CAUTION: DO NOT PRESSURIZE THE PASSENGER CABIN TO MORE THAN 19 PSIA
_______ (APPROXIMATELY 4 PSI ABOVE AMBIENT). A PRESSURE THAT IS MORE THAN 19 PSIA WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE OXYGEN EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Pressurize the passenger cabin to 3 PSI more than the ambient pressure (AMM 21-31-00/201).

Keep the cabin pressure at 3 psi for 5 minutes.

Examine the flush port for leakage.

If there is leakage, repair or replace the check valve on the flush line at the toilet tank.

Open the drain valve on the toilet tank.
NOTE: The water in the waste tank will fill the drain tube.

Keep the pressure in the cabin for 5 more minutes.

Examine the drain cap on the service panel for leakage.
(a) If there is leakage from the drain cap, do these steps: 1) Replace the seal on the drain cap if it is damaged. 2) Replace the drain cap if it is damaged. 3) Replace or resurface the outlet surface of the drain nipple
if it is damaged.

If the drain cap is not open, open the drain cap and look for leaks.
(a)
If there is leakage from the flapper, replace the damaged seal for the flapper or the damaged flapper.
(b)
Do the test again if a corrective action was necessary at the service panel.
(9)
Return the cabin pressure to the ambient pressure.

4. Toilet System Gravity Leak Test_______________________________
A. General
(1) Make sure that you read and obey the specified instructions when you use the equipment to service the toilets (AMM 38-32-60/201).
B. Standard Tools and Equipment
(1) Toilet Waste Service Cart
NOTE: Use a toilet waste service cart that can do these steps:
____
-Fill the toilet tank with a delivery pressure of not less than 30 psig or more than 125 psig.
-Hold and transport not less than 40 gallons of toilet waste.
(2)
Container - 40 to 50-gallon capacity with an open top with a diameter of not less than 24 inches that can catch the water from the service panel.
(3)
Container - 5 to 7-gallon capacity with a spout that can add water to the toilet bowl.

D. Procedure

(1) Do the steps in AMM 12-17-61/301 to drain, rinse and add the chemical precharge to the toilet tank but do not disconnect the service cart flush line and drain line.
