(1)
Do the steps in AMM 12-17-61/301 to drain, rinse and add the chemical precharge to the toilet tank but do not disconnect the service cart rinse line and drain line.

After 5 minutes, operate the lever to open the inner door and drain the chemical precharge.

Make sure the drain valve handle is closed

Disconnect the service cart drain line and close the waste drain cap.

Read the quantity indicator for the rinse line, set the indicator to zero or write the initial quantity of the indicator.

Add 4 to 5 gallons of water or chemical precharge to the toilet tank.

Add approximately 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda to the toilet bowl.
NOTE: If the local water or precharge chemical has sufficient

conductivity this step is not necessary.

(9) Do these steps approximately 5 times:
(a)
Push the flush switch.
(b)
Make sure the inside of the toilet bowl is fully wetted by the toilet flush fluid.
(c)
Make sure the bicarbonate of soda is fully disolved in the toilet flush fluid.

CAUTION: DO NOT PUT MORE THAN 12 TOTAL GALLONS OF FLUID INTO THE TOILET
_______ TANK. IF MORE THAN 12 GALLONS OF FLUID IS ADDED TO THE TOILET TANK, THE TOILET TANK WILL BE OVERFILLED WHICH CAN DAMAGE THE AIRPLANE.
(10) Fill the toilet tank with fluid until the flow automatically stops.
NOTE: Do not use more than 12 total gallons of fluid.

(a) If the rinse fill valve does not shutoff automatically, do the troubleshooting task, Toilet Bowl Chemical Fluid Missing, from Block 4 (FIM 38-30-00/101, Figure 103).

TOILET FLUSH TIMER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. The first task removes the toilet flush timer. The second task installs the toilet flush timer.
