WARNING:_______USE A WRENCH TO INSTALL THE FILTER. DAMAGE TO THE FILTER WILL OCCUR IF IT IS TIGHTENED BY HAND.
(2) Install the canister filter on the air compressor.
NOTE: There is a locking patch on the threads of the filter which
____ requires a higher torque to break through. The normal break through torque is 30 to 40 lbs-ft. The installation torque is 20 lbs-ft to properly seat the filter.

Do this task: "Water System Pressurization: (AMM 38-15-60/201).

Make sure that the compressor operates.

Make sure that the compressor stops after approximately 5 minutes of its operation.

Do this task: "Containerized Cargo Compartment Ceiling and Sidewal Linings - Installation" (AMM 25-52-01/401) to install the ceiling panels that were removed.

CHECK VALVES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The check valve that is installed adjacent to the in-line air filter is referred to as the check valve in these procedures. The check valve that is installed on the pressurization manifold is referred to as the unloader check valve.
B. This prcoedure gives the instruction to do these tasks:
(1)
Remove the check valve that is installed adjacent to the in-line air filter.
(2)
Install the check valve that is installed adjacent to the in-line air filter.
(3)
Remove the unloader check valve from the pressurization manifold.
(4)
Install the unloader check valve on the pressurization manifold.

2. Remove the Check Valve (Fig. 401)______________________
A. General
(1) You must first remove the assembly of components between the two clamshell couplings from the bracket that holds the filter before you can remove the check valve.

WARNING:_______REMOVE THE AIR PRESSURE FROM THE PNEUMATIC MANIFOLD. AIR WITH HIGH PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) If the pneumatic manifold is pressurized, do this task: "Release the Pressure in the Pneumatic System" (AMM 36-00-00/201).
