BODY GEAR STEERING CONTROL MODULE ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has these two tasks:
(1)
Removal of the control module assembly for the body gear steering.
(2)
Installation of the control module assembly for the body gear steering.
B.
You can do a test of the module after replacement to make sure the actuator for the body gear steering operates correctly. Taxi the airplane to put the actuator in the position for the test. It is not necessary to disconnect the torsion link on the nose landing gear if you taxi the airplane to put the actuator in its position (Ref 09-21-00/201).
C.
To remove the control module these steps are necessary:
-
Disconnect the electrical connectors
-
Disconnect the hydraulic lines
-
Remove the washers and nuts and remove the module.
D.
To install the control module these steps are necessary:
-If it is necessary, install new O-rings and backup rings
-Put the module in its position and install the washers and nuts
-
Connect the hydraulic lines to the module
-
Connect the electrical connectors to the module
-Do a test of the control module.
