 (c)  
Connect the other end of the actuator to the outboard end of the bellcrank with the bolt (2).

 (d)  
Attach the electrical connector X503 to the actuator receptacle.

Install the interconnect actuator No. 2.

 (a)  
If the actuator is in a fully retracted position, connect the actuator to the electrical connector to get it extended before you install it.

 (b)  
With the actuator in the fully extended position and the plug receptacle pointed down, attach the rod end to the inboard end of the bellcrank with the bolt (4).

 (c)  
Attach the other end of the actuator to the support bracket with the bolt (4).

 (d)  
Attach the electrical connector H87 to the actuator receptacle.

Remove the rigging pin NS-3 (AMM 32-51-00/501).

Interconnect Actuators Check

 (1)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Put the system switches (No. 1, 2, 3, and 4) of the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER to OFF on the P461 panel.

 (3)  
Close the circuit breakers as follows:

 (a)  
P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.
 1) 7F22 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT PRI
 2) 7F23 LANDING GEAR DSP & CONT ALT
 3) 7F25 PSEU SECT 1
 4) 7F26 PSEU SECT 2
 5) 7G25 NOSE GR STRG PRI
 6) 7G26 NOSE GR STRG ALT

 (4)  
Do a check of the interconnect actuators.

 (a)  
Put a proximity sensor (actuator) at the alternate and primary sensors of the squat switch (nose gear).

 (b)  
Make sure that the actuator No. 1 is extended and the actuator No. 2 is retracted.

 (c)  
Remove the proximity sensor actuator.

 (d)  
Make sure that the actuator No. 1 is retracted and the actuator No. 2 is extended.

Put the Airplane in its Usual Condition

 (1)  
Put the system switches (No. 1, 2, 3 and 4) of the FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF VALVE TAIL to ON on the P461 panel.

 (2)  
Install the second center ceiling panel, aft in Zone A.

 (3)  
Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 NOSE GEAR STEERING CABLE COMPENSATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This subject contains these two tasks:
 -Removal of the nose gear steering cable compensator
 -
Installation of the nose gear steering cable compensator.

 B.  
The nose gear steering cable compensator is located on the forward wall of the main electrical/electronics equipment center (STA 400).


 (1)  
Access is through a removable panel in the equipment center floor directly beneath the external access ladder.

 C.  
To remove the cable compensator these steps are necessary:


 -
Remove access ladder from bulkhead on forward part of the electronic equipment bay

 -
Remove floor access panel and insulation

 -
Remove cable guard and disconnect cables from quadrants


 -Disconnect the electrical connector
 -
Remove nut from cable compensator shaft

 -
Remove bolts from cable compensator and remove compensator
