(6) If the left-hand cylinder is affected, remove the hand hold (8).
(a) Remove the nut (12) from the clamps (10 and 11).
(b) Pull the hand hold (8) and the clamps (10 and 11) from the
actuator.

(7) If the right-hand cylinder is affected, remove the external power
cable support (13).
(a) Remove the nuts (16) from clamps (14 and 15).
(b) Remove the clamps (14 and 15) and the external power cable
support (13) from the actuator.

(8) If the leak is at the aft end of the transfer tube, remove the parts
as follows:
(a) Remove the transfer tube retainer (1) and the backing plate
(2).
CAUTION: OBSERVE CARE TO PREVENT ENTRY OF DUST, DIRT OR OTHER
_______ CONTAMINANTS TO SEALING AREAS WHILE TRANSFER TUBE SEALS ARE EXPOSED.
(b)
Thoroughly clean the forward and the aft external surfaces of the transfer tube (5) and the adjacent surfaces of the ports.
(c)
Slide the transfer tube (5) forward to expose the piston seal set (4) on the aft end of tube.
(d)
Remove the seal set.

Install new seals on the aft end of the transfer tube.
(a)
Install a new seal set (4) on the aft end of the transfer tube (5).
(b)
Slide the transfer tube (5) aft into the cylinder barrel receptacle and install the retainer (1), the backing plate (2), the washers (6), and the bolts (3).
(c)
Tighten the bolts to 65-90 pound-inches torque and lockwire them.

(10)
If the leak is at the forward end of the transfer tube, remove parts as follows:
(a)
Remove the lockwire and the sealant from the barrel retaining nut.
(b)
Remove the transfer tube retainer (1) and the backing plate (2).
