 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE DOOR LOCK OF THE NOSE LANDING
_______ GEAR. ALSO, MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND DOOR RELEASE HANDLE OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR IS IN THE OPEN POSITION. AND, MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROL HANDLE OF THE LANDING GEAR IS IN THE DOWN POSITION. ACCIDENTAL HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOORS TO CLOSE QUICKLY WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (6)  
Supply hydraulic power to system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Operate the steering system of the nose gear through 5 full cycles to bleed the hydraulic system of the nose gear steering.

Do a check of the steering metering valve for leakage.

Remove hydraulic power of system No. 1 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (4)  
Install the apex bolt of the torsion link of the nose landing gear (Fig. 402).

 (a)  
Remove the hold tool from the torsion link.

 (b)  
Put the upper end of the torsion link in the lower end of the torsion link fork.

 (c)  
Lubricate the apex bolt shank and the threads with grease.

 (d)  
Install the apex bolt and the screw in the bushing with threads. 1) Tighten the bolt hand tight and install the quick-release


 pin.
