(8) Loosen the steering cables at the turnbuckles and remove the cables from the trunnion pivot link drum.
NOTE: The Steering cables (NWS2A, NWS2B) run from the trunnion
____ pivot link down to the forward steering collar.
E. Remove Nose Gear Steering Actuator (Fig. 401)

Do this task: "Steering Valve Metering Valve Removal"
(AMM 32-51-04/401).

Remove the steering summing mechanism.
(a)
Remove the cotter pin, the nut and the pulley bolt from the pulley and remove the pulley from the pulley bracket.
(b)
Repeat step (a) for the pulley on the opposite side of the summing mechanism.
(c)
Remove the nut, the washer and the bolt which attach the summing mechanism to the steering cylinder upper and lower support plates and remove the summing mechanism.

(AMM 32-51-06/401).

Remove the steering actuator and the support plates (Fig. 402).
(a)
Install the steering cylinder sling to support the steering actuator weight and then remove the upper and lower support plate attach bolts (Fig. 403).
(b)
Remove the upper and lower trunnion locknuts (Fig. 402).
(c)
Remove the actuators and the support plates.
